Director Statement A Last Push for Love’ is the story of Morty coming to terms not only with his daughter’s choice for a husband but also with a changing world around him. It is an exercise in showing that love and caring can sometimes be expressed in surprising - and in his case, somewhat outrageous - ways. It is a comedy nested between varying conceptions of love and family, but also between cultural views on marriage. ‘A Last Push for Love’ pokes fun at the romantic comedy genre by forcing the staple narrative to take a little detour with Morty leading the way.
