Online Screening
The kick off of our festival is one that can be enjoyed by our international community, and that is our online screening! Hosted right here on our website, enjoy your own personal theatre experience. Select a film from any category, then leave your review once you've finished. These reviews will be used to decide the Public Choice Award, so we are excited to see the feedback! In addition, all other in person events will also be streamed online so everyone can partake in the excitement of it all!

Nominee Announcement
From the 20th onwards, we are happy to announce our Nomination Announcement Nights! This is where we will unveil the nominees for each category by playing them in full, as well as having the judges share why they chose each film and a Q&A at the end. This is free to attend and is a great chance to learn not just about the inner workings of how each film was chosen, but also for deepening your knowledge of each category!

Award Ceremony
Experience the thrill and enchantment of a Hollywood-style red carpet event right here in Vancouver. On January 25th at the HR MacMillan Space Center, we will be hitting the peak of our festival activities with our Awards Gala! Celebrate with our MC and Lead Judge Dean Redman to find out who is the winner of each category. Start by walking the Red Carpet in your most glitz and glam dress/suit and be greeted by the flash of photographers capturing the moment. Everyone is a celebrity during the Awards Gala! As you exit the red carpet, indulge in a light snack and a glass of champagne as you mingle with film-makers and film-lovers alike. At the 30 minute mark to the ceremony, you can begin the ascent to the sky deck where our volunteers will guide you to your seat under the stars. Once the awards begin, sit back and enjoy the show! After the show is over, everyone is encouraged to mingle, with an afterparty to be announced soon! Tickets are on sale from now until January 24th, but inventory is limited! We look forward to seeing you all there!
