Director Statement MORNING JOY is an animated short film about finding hope in the midst of darkness. Intentionally lacking in dialogue, the film relies on the universal language of music to drive the narrative, while the painterly, hand-drawn animation communicates the emotional overtones. The film’s development was a challenging two-year endeavor encompassing an international team of artists, including illustrators from Australia and France, animators from Serbia, and musicians from London and New York. Animation is a collaborative medium, and this film would not have been possible without the contributions of the entire team. It is our immense honor to share this film with you.
