Director Biography - Sergiy Pudich
Sergiy Pudich is an acclaimed Ukrainian film director and cinematographer based in Asia. His career began a decade ago when he won his first worldwide video competition for LG Electronics. Smoothly transformed from his primary job as a political consultant and teaching social psychology, Sergiy became a full-time filmmaker and was able to direct his first short fiction movie in 2015. Throughout his career, Sergiy has assumed various pivotal roles on film sets as a director, producer, cinematographer, gaffer, scriptwriter, editor, VFX artist, and actor. With a global footprint, Sergiy has worked on captivating projects across multiple countries, including Ukraine, Italy, the USA, Switzerland, Thailand, and China. Sergiy directed 10 short fiction films distributed among international film festivals and received multiple awards. His most awarded horror movie, "The Barber," was selected to more than 100 film festivals and received 23 awards in this particular genre. With a passion for storytelling through visuals, Sergiy developed his recognizable style of using colorful light to push the narrative and underline the characters' conditions. Trying to tighten his passion for short stories, Sergiy is developing a feature film script consisting of several connected short stories to merge into one movie with one storyline and narrative line.
