Director Statement I want to describe life by breaking it down into different parts using bullfighting as a metaphor. Loosely, we see a beginning where we see what bullfighting is like contrasted with a number of scenes in Sol meant to humanize the Spaniards. The narration is reflective. In the middle, where the climax happens, we see more of the horrors of bullfighting. In the end, we see multiple bulls slain and the narration transcends marred by cruelty and baring the slightest hints of political dissent.
